Andy Clifford’s Testimony
Love and Fire
After going through many extreme experiences, which took me into all levels of society, from high-class jobs to the top of drug rings, and to the bottom of jail cells: I came face to face with a powerful life-giving source… love, as a matter of fact, the very Source – God… He is love! There is such precious hope for people who are truly searching. There was hope for me, the lowest of the low, so surely, if you haven’t yet, you can experience this amazing peace, purpose, and reality too.
Be sure of this:
“IT’S NOT OF THIS WORLD”
“And you shall seek me, and find me, when you
shall search for me with all your heart.”
Jeremiah 29:13 UKJV

I was born into a typical low-middle class 1980’s secular family. Growing up, I had a rather natural and scientific outlook on life. This was fuelled by parents who had grown to trust the common understanding of a Godless society where evolution and science had become an accepted standard of truth to many. As a child, I enjoyed experimentation with anything I could get my hands on. Having been blessed with a good mind and a strong imagination, I made and kept friends easily. This gift or charisma in my life was put to use for good and evil at different times.
I seemed to always be in trouble with my parents and unfortunately my friends’ parents too. It didn’t matter how much I was disciplined and punished for my reckless behavior – I always managed to ‘better the badness’ the next time around. My career of destruction started around the age of three. My loving tolerant mother found me standing on a wall unit throwing her nice glassware everywhere, causing mass destruction in the living room.

HEARING A VOICE AND THE VOICE
by ANDREW C PHIRI
May 2006
“Hearing a Voice and the Voice”is the title I will give to this message I wish to share with you. I hope it will help you see why we have all the confusion we have today in the End time message movement. I will use the story of Paul’s conversion for my illustration.
We all know the story of Saul of Tarsus who in his religious zeal was breathing out threats against, and slaughtering, the disciples of the Lord. Is it not so today also that many times it is out of religious zeal that people are actually crucifying God’s Word afresh?
It happened one day that Saul (later called Paul) was on his way to Damascus to go and persecute the saints when something amazing happened to him on the way. He met the Lord Jesus Christ. Let us pick up the story from verse 3 of Acts 9:
“And as he journeyed he came near Damascus and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven and he fell to the earth, and heard A VOICE saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?... and the men which journeyed with him stood speechless, HEARING A VOICE, but seeing no man.”
Notice that Paul here says that the men with him heard a voice but saw no man. But in chapter 22 where he tells the story of his conversion he says that the men with him HEARD NOT THE VOICE!Let’s read it from verse 7: “They that were with me SAW INDEED THE LIGHT AND WERE AFRAID, but THEY HEARD NOT THE VOICE OF HIM THAT SPAKE TO ME.”
As can be seen from chapter 9, this does not mean that those men with Paul heard completely nothing. They heard a sound of someone speaking but could not just grasp the words for them to understand. They sure were aware of something supernatural happening as they could see the light. This is a good type of what usually happens whenever God speaks to a people: A lot wind up in only catching A VOICE and not THE VOICE Global Gospel Impact Ministers Association is a global network of Spirit-filled and anointed men and women of God involved in diverse forms of ministry and united for the purpose of development of excellence in ministry. The Association endeavours to assist ministers and ministries in fulfilling their God-given visions and reaching their utmost potential. With the mission of creating a platform for friendship, fellowship and accountability among like-minded ministers and ministries for optimization of effectiveness in ministry, the ultimate goal and vision of GGIMA is to take over the world for Jesus Christ through the proclamation of His gospel. The Association empowers ministers and ministries with the resources they need to be at the cutting-edge of their ministries and to become all that God has planned and ordained for them in the 21st Century. GGIMA membership is open to those who have been called into any of the offices in the five-fold ministry, and for those who have either commenced active ministry or are still in the preparation stage. The Association is headed by Dr. Andy Osakwe who is the founder and mentoring pastor. It also has an executive committee which is responsible for the administration of the Association.
Many countries in our world today are in great spiritual and physical need. More than half of the world is closed off from traditional missionary work because of political and religious restrictions. When we realize there are billions who have never heard of Christ, we say, “God, it is still your world.” There will come a time when the kingdoms of this world will become the Kingdom of Jesus Christ, and to that end we must work.
As I read the Scriptures I recognize the world in which we live, the problems we face, and people with whom I can identify. I see how timid and cowardly they were, but still God put his hand on them and said, “I want to use you.” When I see those parallels, God speaks to me and says, “You can do the same. You can have a lasting impact on the situations in your world.”
Times Like Ours
The story of Gideon, which begins in Judges 6, provides such a parallel. The children of Israel were now in the land of Canaan, and God had told them clearly to drive out the inhabitants and claim the land. Some of the tribes drove out the Canaanites from their allotted territory, but others failed to finish the job. God warned them that these people and their gods would be “thorns in your side” and “a snare to you” (Judges 2:3). Then Joshua, and the generation that had entered the land with him so victoriously, died, and the generation that came after them forsook the Lord God and began to worship Baal and other Canaanite gods.
Israel continued to fight their enemies, but because of their disobedience God withdrew his hand of protection, and they were continually harassed, plundered, and beaten. Nonetheless, God raised up judges among them – righteous men and women who listened to God, spoke his word to the people, and helped deliver them from their enemies. Sometimes the people listened to the
judges and experienced victory and peace; but usually they returned to their evil ways and were once again in trouble.
