Actress kaanchi kaul biography of barack obama
Ek ladki simple si
The show Ek Ladki Anjaani Si (Sony) has brought actor Kanchi Kaul much fame. Playing Ananya Sachdev, a surrogate mother, Kanchi has attempted the unconventional.
Of late, the actor is only shooting with Mohnish Behl who has entered the show as Veerendra, a man with a mysterious past.
Rubbishing rumours of there being tension on the sets due to Mohnish having differences with the makers, Kanchi clarifies, “He’s so polished and cultured, a good actor and a chilled-out person. He simply gives his shots and goes. What will be my relationship with him forms the suspense element of the show.”
But Kanchi does miss her old set of co-actors including Shakti Anand and Arzoo Govitrikar. She adds, “I am in touch with them though.”
Quiz her on how life has dramatically changed for her after the show and she rues, “Sleep has become a luxury. There’s no life left anymore. I hardly meet my parents or friends.” Yet she’s quick to add, “But all the hard work is worth it. I have all my life to enjoy!”
Kanchi is happy with the show’s far reaching popularity. She says, “The show is doing well both here and abroad. During a recent visit to my native place in the south, an old lady came up to me and started crying. She was very moved to see me. There is a little girl in Vienna who writes to me too.”
Kanchi recently has opted for the straight-hair look. She reasons, “It was getting too time-consuming and tedious to get ready, especially during summer. Now my hair is more manageable.”
Revealing something about her, Kanchi says, “I am a gadget-friendly person. I love computers and my iPod. Also, I like to dress in smart casual clothes and detest heavy dressing.”
Playing Ananya has won Kanchi many admirers and marriage proposals, but the actor is clear about what she seeks in her partner.
She asserts, “Companionship and trust are most important in a relationship. My man should have a balance of seriousness and fun. People here are very complicated. I want Shabir Ahluwalia is set to do something different. After being a part of romantic and family dramas over the years, the actor is gearing up to be a part of a light-hearted drama. He says, “I am doing this TV show because I’ve been wanting to explore the comedy genre. I consciously wanted to do something different this time around which has humour.” Shabir has acted in films like Shootout at Lokhandwala and Mission Istanbul, but it has been more than 15 years since then. Does he feel disheartened about his Bollywood career not going the way he would have liked it to? He replies, “No, I don’t. I want to connect with the audience with great stories and roles. With films, that didn’t happen and I didn’t want to do something just for the sake of it. For me, the medium doesn’t matter; if the role is challenging, it excites me.” ‘It’s important to balance work and family life’On the personal front, the Kumkum Bhagya actor is married to actress Kanchi Kaul and they have two sons, Azai and Ivarr. It’s important to balance work and family life, he says. “When it is a new show, the first three months can be demanding. But once things settle down, I start my work early and finish early, which gives me time with my sons,” shares Shabir.
