Bio: Soprano Deanna McBroom has appeared throughout the United States and in Europe, featured with symphony orchestras in over 40 solo and oratorio roles, and in leading roles in over 30 operas, in recitals, and in chamber music. Ms. McBroom is the Singing Voice Specialist on the Voice Team at Medical University of South Carolina’s Evelyn Trammell Institute for Voice and Swallowing. Now maintaining a private studio, she retired from a 45-year college teaching career as Professor Emerita of Voice from the College of Charleston's Department of Music where she served as Director of the Voice Program. Her students have attained successful national and international singing and acting/film careers and are winners in national singing competitions. In demand for master classes and adjudication, she lectures nationally and internationally and has published articles on rehabilitation of the singing voice and treatment/prevention for injured singers, most recently for The Voice Foundation Symposium, Performing Arts Medicine Association Symposium, the National Convention of National Association of Teachers of Singing, the British Voice Association, and the Austrian Voice Society. McBroom is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison (with distinction) and University of Louisville (summa cum laude). She currently serves as the liaison from NATS to Athletes and the Arts (AATA) and the Performing Arts Medicine Association (PAMA), and from the Voice Foundation to Athletes and the Arts (AATA) as well. She is a past-President and past-Secretary of the South Carolina chapter of NATS.

Stud DeAnna Tisdale Johnson is the Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of the Jackson Advocate newspaper. Johnson joins a short list as one of the youngest publishers in the history of Black newspapers. Johnson oversees a small staff and is diligently working to grow the newspaper to its former glory and beyond by digitizing the medium. She has been a published writer since the age of fourteen for the publication, where her father Charles Tisdale was owner and publisher until his death. Her mother, Alice Tisdale, is now publisher emeritus. She is also a lyric soprano, lauded for her warmth and richness of voice. Her performances include a concert as the premier vocalist with the Mississippi Symphony Orchestra, Anna Maurant in Kurt Weill’s Street Scene, with lyrics by Langston Hughes; chorus and Prilepa (cover) in Tchaikovsky’s Queen of Spades with Harvard’s Lowell House Opera; Foreign Princess from Dvorak’s Rusalka (Halifax Summer Opera Festival); Forester’s Wife and Fox (cover) in Janacek’s The Cunning Little Vixen, among other roles. She took part in a groundbreaking, immersive theatre production of Britten’s Turn of the Screw in the role of Miss Jessel (Opera Brittenica) and has studied role preparation with the world-renowned Martina Arroyo in her Prelude to Performance program. Johnson has received a few honors over the past few years, including a grant from the Mississippi Arts Commission and the Leadership Award from the Mississippi Jazz Association. She looks forward to continuing her passion for music by facilitating a summer classical music festival in her hometown within the next couple of years. She is most proud of her move back home to Jackson, Mississippi to be of service to the place she grew up. Jack has proudly called Middle Tennessee “home” for over thirty years after graduating from Texas State University with a degree in Education. First elected to the Tennessee State Senate in 2006, Jack Johnson has been a stalwart conservative leader and a fighter who helped turn the Tennessee State Senate red. Jack knows that conservative values are Tennessee values, which is why he always fights to lower taxes, defend constitutional rights, secure our southern border, protect our most vulnerable and ensure parents’ always have a voice in their children’s education. He is also the prime Senate sponsor of the Child Rape Death Penalty Option Law, legislation which makes those that commit the most heinous of crimes – the rape of a child – eligible for the death penalty. Not only that, Jack is a leading author of laws that work to destroy the scourge of Child and Human Trafficking in our state.
