Total Divas: 5 Couples That Survived The Show (& 5 That Did Not)

Total Divas might place the majority of the focus on the women of the show, but through that, we learn plenty about their relationships. The vast majority of wrestlers on the show tend to date other people in the wrestling industry, as they have similar experiences of life.

During the reality show, all the ups and downs of those relationships are showcased. While all the positives seem great, the nature of the show itself really does highlight the negatives and the difficulties that they have finding time amongst their busy schedules. Even though many of the relationships from Total Divas sadly didn't end up lasting, thankfully, the vast majority of them have lasted. Within this article, we will be looking at examples of relationships that have both lasted and broken up from the show.

Survived: Naomi & Jimmy Uso

One of the most popular relationships on the show is between Naomi and Jimmy Uso, which is one of the original relationships from the show as well. The pair are tons of fun every time they appear, bringing lots of energy to the show.

Naomi and Jimmy tend to go through lots of difficulties on the show, perhaps more so than other couples. However, they have remained incredibly close during their time on Total Divas, and their marriage has stayed strong. Naomi has learned how to be a stepmom during her time on the show, which is a major step for any relationship. While it hasn't always been easy, their love has always shone through on the show.

Did Not: Alicia Fox & Wade Barrett

The relationship between Alicia Fox and Wade Barrett didn't massively get shown on Total Divas, as they were already split by the time it was brought up. However, they were together for parts, and sadly it just didn't work out between them.

  • Why did ariane and vinny break up
  • Believe it or not, you have to be in the right headspace to recap an unscripted dramedy about the offscreen exploits of the world’s most famous woman wrestlers, and sometimes that means when you have visiting family camped out in your living room there’s not enough wine in the state of Wisconsin to get you relaxed enough to enjoy watching and writing about such a show, and you put it off for a week because you feel like Natalya at the beginning of last week’s episode of Total Divas, so panicked before her TLC ladder match that she doesn’t know whether to hyperventilate or take a dogface-filter selfie with Official Onscreen Corporate Hack Mark Carrano, who tells her to be calm and breathe.

“You know that’s hard for a Neidhart to do,” Nattie replies.

If you recall, episode one of this season left us perched on a cliff over which dangled a 14-foot ladder with the future of the WWE Women’s Division hanging in the balance, and Nattie was the most terrified at the prospect of (a) screwing up this opportunity for future generations of women wrestlers to come and (b) doing it while tumbling from a steel ladder far above the arena floor.

“If I fall off this ladder, then so be it,” Nattie says, being as Nattie as Nattily possible. “But I’m gonna go out there and do the best job I know how to do.”

You probably know the real-life outcome of the match: They didn’t f**k it up, although there’s a strong argument to be made that the ending of the first-ever women’s Money in the Bank ladder match was really just business as usual when it comes to WWE and opportunities for women (I know they rematched on SmackDown, but for real, why bother letting the women have good matches if you’re just going to end it by having a shady male valet sneak up and steal it for the winner? Get woke, Vince). BUT it provides a perfect segue for Total Divas to introduce another new cast member: Lak

    Early life

Roucka grew up in Vancouver, British Columbia and is of Czech and Costa Rican descent. She was a self-described "tomboy" growing up, and was once suspended from school for fighting. In the summer of 2006, Roucka competed in the WWE Diva Search and reached the final eight. She won the first round, a dance competition. After she was eliminated on August 24, WWE then signed her to a developmental contract.

    Beth Phoenix's intern (2008–2009)

On the November 24, 2008 episode of Raw, Roucka appeared as a planted fan, holding a sign proclaiming her WWE Women's ChampionBeth Phoenix's number one fan. Over the next few weeks, she continued holding signs supporting Phoenix. On the December 22 Raw, Phoenix's boyfriend/tag partner Santino Marella introduced her as Rosa Mendes. The next week, she jumped the guardrail and attacked the new number one contender, Melina, who was attacking Phoenix. The next week, Stephanie McMahon said Mendes had been banned from WWE events after attacking Melina again. Mendes evaded the ban by disguising herself as a paparazzo in Melina's entrance and attacked her again.
