Shahnaz alpha bravo charlie biography
Gulsher from 'Alpha Bravo Charlie' recalls fond memories of TV and more
Colonel (R) Qasim Shah has been a craze and inspirational icon for the youth of Pakistan since his first appearance in the Army-centric TV serial Sunehray Din presented in the early 90s by the PTV. His second project titled Alpha Bravo Charlie exalted his celebrity stature to a lofty pedestal and enviable zenith of fame.
The simplicity and innocence of Shah’s characters in both the plays, and his sense of humour and witty expressions in real life have won him a great circle of fans and friends. Although he did not act in a proper play after that, his charismatic presence has been and will be an indivisible part of most of the TV shows, award ceremonies, national and patriotic festivities and events, and, above all, social welfare activities and programmes. As he was in the town this week, he spoke to The Express Tribune about Alpha Bravo Charlie and better TV days.
Muttahir Ahmed Khan (MAK): How did you make your way to showbiz or performing arts? Do you belong to a family that already had any tinge of such fields and areas?
Qasim Shah (QS): I didn’t have even a remote or distant relative associated with TV or media or other such types of fields. It was by chance that I became a celebrity even after joining a disciplined and tough profession and institution. It is a pleasing fact that my affiliation with the army paved the way for my career as a celebrity. Actually, my off (leave) was banned as a punishment and I was amongst a few cadets who were present in the Pakistan Military Academy, Kakul, when all others were enjoying their vacations.
MAK: Were you expecting your fame and recognition as a pure performing artist or considering your role in Sunehray Din as an occasional and pleasant episode in life?
QS: I am thankful to the Almighty for blessing me with the fame and love of the people. As I was selected by Mr This article is about the Pakistani drama series. For the alphabet, see NATO phonetic alphabet. 1998 Pakistani TV series or programme The opening title screen for Alpha Bravo Charlie Alpha Bravo Charlie (Urdu: الفا براوو چارلی) is an action and thriller Pakistani drama, produced by ISPR and directed by Pakistani drama and film directorShoaib Mansoor. It is a sequel to the 1991 TV series Sunehray Din(Golden Days) with a somewhat different cast. The series ran on PTV from May till July 1998. The last shooting was completed at Pakistan Military Academy, Kakul ,on 4 December 1997. The drama was produced by PTV Lahore center and Shoman Productions. The events in the drama involve romance and comedy, while reflecting the Pakistan Army's operational involvement in the Bosnian War and Siachen conflict. The drama is based on the lives of three characters — Faraz, Kashif, and Gulshar, also known as Alpha Bravo Charlie Delta Echo . The drama begins with three friends having just passed out from PMA (Pakistani Military Academy) and entering the army as officers. Faraz enters first, and he comes in with his brand new Mercedes car, which his father (a very rich landlord) gifted him for achieving the sword of honour. He is bashed for this, and is even fooled by the batman, who happens to be the Major. The next day, Kashif joins, and he is also fooled by the batman. But Kashif already knew, as his father was a general So the first thought that crossed my mind while watching this beautifully portrayed story was ‘Where have these days gone?’ No, Seriously. Watching such crappy serials every now and then has seriously affected my taste buds that now I can’t even stand such serials with the credit and appreciation they actually deserve. Patriotism, thrill, humor, romance, jealousy and sense of achievement all are packed in one and we all are left in awe. Those who have watched this can’t disagree that this drama is the ‘perfection personified’ in terms of everything. Shoaib Mansoor really roved himself as the best director of this time by extracting nothing but best from the cast who had no previous experience of acting. Who can say that it was their first play? For those who haven’t watched this play yet, here is the story: Story: As the name indicates, the drama is based on the life and times of three characters — Faraz, Kashif, and Gulsher also known as Alpha, Bravo, and Charlie respectively — and their friendship. These passionate young men wish to start their careers in the Pakistan army. In the initial episodes, ample footage is used to detail the background of every individual and the circumstances under which they enroll for the armed forces. Faraz is Mr Perfect, the guy who does everything right while Gulsher is a polite, simple-minded, shy person. Kashif is originally the funny man responsible for providing most of the comic relief through his antics, pranks and mischief. Eventually the series morphs into a coming-of-age story where the lead characters realize that there is more to life than their present happy-go-lucky lifestyle as they experience reality in all its fragility and extremities — jealousy, heartbreaks, trauma and death. Another important character is Shahnaaz, a confident, educated and well-mannered young lady, who plays an important role in the lives of these friends. Her involvement with them in the role of friend, Actress/Alpha Bravo Charlie Shehnaz khan is a Pakistani actress who got real fame from the drama serial Alpha Bravo Charlie. The drama was based on Army officers and their lives.Shehnaz performed the role of an army officer’s wife. After that drama she left the showbiz, got married and moved to USA.She also worked from PTV in drama serials;Uraan, kal and Alpha Bravo Charlie.
