    Jared Cantrell (Manager/PhD Student) 

    Jared is a full-time Manager in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at ISU. He is also a graduate student at Idaho State University. He is currently the lab manager for Structural LAB (SLAB) and Structural Dynamics Laboratory. Jared is from Mountain Home, Idaho. He has attended Idaho State University since graduating high school in 2013. He completed a bachelors in Civil Engineering and a minor in Marketing in 2018. Jared competed in the 2017 Idaho Entrepreneur Challenge as a part of one of 26 qualifying teams placing third in his teams section. Jared has previously worked as an apprentice diesel mechanic at Nelson Fleet Service in Boise, ID, where he learned a great deal about general mechanical and hydraulic systems operation/repair. During his time at Environmental Abrasives Warehouse he learned operation of various equipment, while learning scheduling and management skills. Through various other terms of employment Jared has gathered skills in analyzing and interpreting plans, scheduling/estimating jobs accurately, and has learned to adapt to new jobs quickly through observation. Outside of work, he enjoys putting effort and time into farming and ranching, also various sports, along with snowmobiling, camping, and fishing.


    Hana Al-Ghanim (PhD Candidate) - Qatar University 

    Hana is co-supervised by Dr. Mashal at Qatar University. Hana's PhD research is in retrofitting of concrete structures using titanium alloy bars and CFRP.
